Here are five tips to help increase your sales in your local business. The first one is blogging, second one is social media, third one is SEO, fourth one is lead generation, and number five is mobile.
Let’s start with blogging. You want to start creating content. Content that help the people that you’re trying to attract, your ideal customers. You want to give them tips, “how to” advice, ideas, and also frequently asked questions. You want to answer those questions, and eliminate any objection that they may have of doing business with you. Mainly you want to help and educate. Once you help and educate you become a trusted advisor, and they will be more inclined to do business with you. Remember, people will search you online before they come into your store. You want to create content constantly, frequently, not a lot, but frequently. Also, leverage your access feed, social media sharing [inaudible 00:01:15], and subscriptions from your blog.
Talking about social media, you want to link back from your social media to your home page, and link from your home page to your social media. I’m not talking about these widgets that social media profiles give you. I’m talking about actual links, go and visit my Facebook page here, give them an actual call to action. The reason you want to link back to your home page, to your website, from everywhere, and direct everybody from social media, and any other site, to your home page, is because this is your actual, the only platform you can control.
Tomorrow, today, your social media accounts can be erased, can be blocked, you can be banned, they can be deleted, they can be hacked, and you lost total control over your marketing, your content, and your brand, and your image. Now your reputation is going down the drain. You want to start making sure that yes, you use this other platform, but you’re directing everybody back to your homepage, to your website.
While we are at the social media subject you want to post frequently. I mean each profile has different intervals. I will say Facebook, in my opinion, is up to two to three times a day. Twitter between five to nine times a day. This could be anything, from an announcement, to what you’re up to, your new work that you’re doing, any problem you’re having, asking questions to get your audience involved, asking them questions. Cloud source, it will help you speed up the process, leveraging the audience, and getting them involved in what’s going on in your daily life. That’s something that you want to start doing.
Now that you have…we talked about your blogging, your social media, and all it all ties in to search engine optimization, SEO. While most of your websites will have a title and images, you want to make sure that you add unique description to each page, to each blog post, to each article. The reason is once somebody search for…enter in Google and do a search, and your title comes in, in not a unique description that catch the person’s attention they will not click on your link. You want to make sure you take that extra couple seconds to add a new unique description to help you leverage people searching for what you’re selling.
If people are looking for you, and they get to your website, you want to have in all social media, you want to have some type of lead generation. Some type of way to collect information, at least the e-mail address of people that are interested in what you’re selling, so you can continue the conversation with them. By using services like Aware and [Inaudible 00:04:39] you will make your life so easy in narrowing down who really wants your products and services, so you only talk to people that have shown interest. You can automate this process as well. You don’t have to…it will not consume more of your time. Again, set it up, marketing automation will make your life easier.
Last, mobile, you want to make sure that your website looks good. Not only looks good in your smart phone, and tablets, and computers, but the information that is shown at the top before that user starts scrolling, is information that you want them to see right now. When they’re viewing your website, or your accounts the first time. What is your hot item? What is the information you want them to take action? That is something that you want to keep in mind, and have this try to get in mind.
Again, a quick recap, blogging, social media, SEO, search engine optimization, lead generation from your website, and social media, and mobile ready at all time.
